2.11. Verbal binding of the atlas - collection of maps
2.11. Verbal binding of the atlas - collection of maps
The atlas should have full publishing (bibliographical) information and a table of contents, or a table of contents in the case of an atlas constructed from separate maps packaged, for example, in a folder. It is advisable to include verbal information on the organisation - construction of the atlas. It is advisable to include a verbal description informing the student about the content of each map, as well as the proposed tactile reading method.
The atlas should also include instructions for the user on how to protect the atlas from damage, as any possible creasing/bending will make it significantly more difficult for the student to tactilely read the signs and understand the content, and will shorten the "life span" of the publication.
